Big Finish!

I'm happy to reveal my Interlock quilt today.  This was literally a big finish, ending up at 110" by 108" overall.  I'm not even going to tell you how long it took to hand bind this thing, talk about a labor of love.  You can read more about the start of this quilt here and here.





I used some of the leftovers from the jelly rolls to make a 24" pillow sham.  It's quilted in a smaller orange peel to match the big quilt.  I was considering binding this pillow, but the pattern was busy so I opted for a nice topstitched edge instead.




Quilt Stats

Pattern:  Interlock by Amy Friend (Adjusted to King Size)
Finished size:  110" by 108"
Quilted by AB Quilting Studio in Orange Peel pattern, edge to edge
Fabric:  Persimmon by Basic Grey for Moda
Batting:  Hobbs 80/20 in white

The quilt and sham are finishes for my 2nd Quarter 2016 Finish-A-Long list, yeah!  I hope you've joined and are making progress on your finishes as well.

    Oh wow! That is a big finish! I love the colors: though I have to admit, I think I'd get them all mixed up. lol So pretty on the bed with the matching pillow. Restful and clean...

    I'm about half way through my own Interlock Quilt (a long time WIP) and have been struggling to find motivation to finish it. Yours is absolutely gorgeous and definitely inspires! This is such a great pattern.

    I love this quilt ~ the fabrics, the orange-peel quilting, the BIGness of it all! I've been thinking about what to do for a quilt on our king-size bed and I think I could do this. Thanks for the inspiration!
