As I was making this quilt I realized that it was time to update my 6 year old son's bed with a new quilt, and so I added navy borders to the pattern to make it fit a twin. He's super happy that he has his own quilt now. I love having handmade items for our home and was glad to get this on his bed.
This is my second finish for Quarter 2 of the 2017 Finish-A-Long. You can see my original list here.

I love your quilt and so nice to see a darker background colour, instead of the normal whites I so often see :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilt and congrats on the finish! Love that quilting motif too. Thanks for linking up on behalf of the 2017 global Finish-A-Long hosts.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a cool quilt! Congrats on such a beautiful finish!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilt and I really love the circular quilting.

Hi Judy,
ReplyDeleteI am not a huge fan of batiks (although I do use them sometimes!) either, and this quilt is just really fun and perfect. I can see why your son is so happy to have it for himself. ~smile~ Roseanne
It's great how sometimes our quilts just fall into place.
ReplyDeleteI like this one a lot! I checked out the pattern, it's originally 68 x 68. Did you add a row or two of blocks in addition to the wonderfully large borders?
